Seeking qualified Art Instructors (painting, drawing, mixed media, etc), who are passionate about teaching and working with children, youth, and/or adults/seniors.
As an Art Instructor, you will bring a high level of skill and enthusiasm to your class(es). You will plan and instruct art programs for children and/or adults, depending on your skill level and work schedule. You are responsible and punctual – and able to commit to teaching classes on an ongoing basis. You will provide constructive feedback, support, and direction, to enable students to achieve their artistic goals.You will ensure appropriate set-up, clean-up, and maintenance of studio space and materials. You will uphold the studio’s reputation for consistent high-quality art programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ASSETS
Proven ability to create and implement lesson plans
Minimum 1 year teaching experience
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students
Strong organizational and supervisory skills, and time management
Strong artistic skills (drawing and painting)
Employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check.
RENUMERATION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK
$18 per hour teaching, plus half hour for set-up/clean-up per class.
The studio is responsible for scheduling classes, registration, and promoting programs.
