Encourage the budding artist in your child!
Students have the freedom to initiate project ideas, from drawing, painting, and sculpture – and therefore will enjoy the entire process, from concept to a completed work of art.
(Projects typically take 6-8 sessions to complete.) This teaching method builds skills while keeping the student motivated. Class size is limited to ensure individual guidance. Learn more here.
Depending on what the student wants to focus on, he/she will learn:
- how to take an idea and develop it into a finished work of art
- how to paint still life, animals, and landscapes
- how to transfer a drawing to canvas
- how to draw complex subjects, such as animals, people, buildings, etc.
- how to incorporate mixed media into acrylic painting
- sculpting with clay (coil / slab methods)
- sculpting with paper mache`
- and more!
Ongoing classes allow students to work at their own level and pace while developing skills and confidence!

CLASS FEE: $189 + GST 4 sessions (Students may re-register indefinitely at the end of each term.)
LEVEL: Ages 9-12 (Beginner – Intermediate)

NOTE: I highly recommend that beginners complete both Intro to Drawing and Intro to Acrylic Painting before registering for my ongoing art classes. These 4-week programs cover the fundamentals of drawing and painting, so students can work more independently on projects of their choice. Registration for the Intro programs can be done online and are on a first come, first served basis.

My daughter has been in class with Lisa for several months and she’s already learned so much with her sketching and her painting. Lisa has inspired her to think big. Lisa’s class is something she’s excited for every week. The class size is perfect and very conducive to learning. I’m sure we’ll continue with the class for quite some time!

Lisa’s class is great! My daughter has been taking lessons with Lisa for 5 years! She’s learned a lot and she loves Lisa and her class.
