Advanced students will have more freedom to explore styles and mediums.

  • working with clay (coil or slab methods)
  • working with paper mache`
  • and more!

Advanced Students can learn:
  • abstract painting techniques
  • working with mixed media
  • conceptual art projects
  • stylized drawings/paintings
  • developing your own style

  • I recently started taking art lessons with Lisa, I found that with her help I was able to learn and understand things far better. I was able to progress at a better rate than learning on my own, like I had been doing. I also found that with Lisa’s help and guidance I have been learning a variety of skills that also translate over and help me in other areas as well. I appreciate the fact that we are able to learn and work at our own pace and get clarification as needed on our own projects.

  • I have been a student of Lisa’s for over 4 years and she has been a very supportive teacher. She’s taught me so much about colour, light and values, and most importantly to never give up!

  • I started painting in 1974 in my art class in grade 8. I graduated in 1978 and did not pick up a brush again until last year. When I started taking lessons last year I was as good as starting all over again. I was surprised at how quickly I was able to create paintings that were alright, but within a few months of meeting Lisa, I was improving quickly. I give full credit to her for guiding me to where I am now. I want to keep painting and will also keep going to classes with Lisa into the unforseeable future. Thank you Lisa, for your friendship and teaching.

I moved to Langley mid pandemic and was happy to find Lisa’s art classes. It had been quite a few years since attending oil painting classes in Montreal. I wanted to try acrylics and Lisa’s class was a perfect vehicle to re-ignite my creativity. I was able to get comfortable with a new medium under Lisa’s guidance. She has a great eye and can make suggestions that improve the painting. She is very encouraging. I always looked forward to Friday afternoon classes, it helped with my mental health as well to spend a couple of hours doing what I love with a great group of fellow artists. I’m now moving back to Montreal and I know I will miss my Fridays spent in Lisa’s studio the most.

  • Lisa was very supportive and encouraging with my painting projects, she has a lot of experience and knowledge which she readily passes on to her students. The classes were lots of fun too with all of us, whether experienced or brand new, enjoying each other’s company while learning to become better artists.

  • Had a series of lessons with Lisa, very patient and helpful, always friendly and knowledgeable about colour and perspective. , would recommend her to anyone anytime and every time ,

  • I started art classes with Lisa, about 3 months ago. I was a total beginner, but has learned a lot in a short period of time. She is professional, friendly and patient in teaching her students. I will highly recommend Her classes. I cannot wait every week to go to my class! So good!

  • I am really enjoying Lisa’s art class. She is a good teacher, very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient.
I will continue to take classes and advance my skills under Lisa’s teaching.

  • I have enjoyed my classes with Lisa. I think that I am someone that loves to paint and Lisa is a great artist.

  • I highly recommend Lisa’s art classes. She is knowledgeable about the many different art styles and patiently guides her students as they work on discovering their own unique style. The classes are small which is ideal for beginners. Lisa is friendly and encouraging. I have learned a great deal from her and feel more confident about my art work.

Without reservation, I would recommend taking an art class from Lisa. I joined her for Thursday evening classes and immediately felt welcome by Lisa and the other students.
Lisa not only was able to guide me, as a beginning artist, to better understand perspective and colour, she also has a wonderful positive and encouraging teaching style. She was patient and positive. Taking a class with Lisa has started me on an enjoyable pass time filled with good memories.

I have learnt so much since attending art lessons with Lisa, and know this is only the beginning! Lisa is very patient, doesn’t rush you and allows everyone in the class to work at their own pace and on their own projects. Lisa is very knowledgeable, and ‘coaches’ you in techniques to build up your art work. The atmosphere in the classes I have attended has been really friendly, everyone encouraging each other, and there is absolutely no pressure.
