Art Lessons for Teens & Young Adults

Learn the fundamentals of drawing, painting and sculpting.

Young people will have the freedom to initiate project ideas and therefore will enjoy the entire “art making” process – from concept to a completed work of art.
Projects typically take 6-8 weeks to complete.

Beginner & Intermediate levels are taught with a more “hands on” approach, with step-by-step guidance. Advanced students will have more freedom to explore styles and mediums.
Beginners & Intermediate levels can learn:
  • how to mix paints to any colour
  • how to scale up using a grid
  • how to transfer a drawing to canvas
  • sketching techniques
  • painting techniques
  • working with acrylic mediums
  • working with clay (coil or slab methods)
  • working with paper mache`
  • and more!

Advanced Students can learn:
  • abstract painting techniques
  • working with mixed media
  • conceptual art projects
  • stylized drawings/paintings
  • developing your own style
  • preparing for university art programs
  • preparing for art career
  • and more!

Classes are ongoing, which allows students to work at their own level and pace.

  • I have been a part of Lisa’s art classes for 3 years now and the difference it has made in my skill level is amazing. Lisa is a great teacher and I have come so far with her as my instructor. Not only has my skill level improved significantly, but the classes themselves are always fun too, as we often chat about different topics and get to know each other. It’s a great environment and an all-round amazing experience. I would highly recommend her classes to anyone that is considering art lessons.

I’ve gone to multiple art classes over the years, but Lisa’s classes have been one of the best. She has helped me explore new materials and new ideas in the small amount of time I’ve been here and I will hopefully continue learning more.

  • My daughter has been attending classes with Ms. Lisa for 5 years now. It has been an important part of her life and helped shape the person she has become. The studio is her happy space where she can express herself and take care of her mental well-being. There have been so many restrictions put on young people with the Covid crisis from school to meeting with friends. It’s a place she can meet with a small group safely!

Wednesday’s are my favourite because I get to go to art class in the evening. Ms Lisa does every single detail into helping a student, with art and with any other problems we might mention. The quality of the result of a new master piece is so great, Ms. Lisa isn’t only a teacher or artist, but as well a friend.
    Thank you Ms. Lisa!💕
