The forest can evoke both awe and fear. The trees themselves seem to hold a spiritual presence; majestic and silent. To walk amongst them and look way up to see the dazzling sunlight shimmering on their leaves; to listen to the birds hidden in them; to explore the soft ground underneath… What a beautiful place to meditate! Oh, but when darkness falls the forest is transformed into something far more menacing. Suddenly, the crack of a twig alerts the senses and fear sets in.
