Paint a Simple Object



PART 2: VIDEO SERIES 2

Practice your blending techniques by painting a simple household object. Learn how to set up a still life draping with directional lighting. Learn how to “see” values from light to dark. Paint a simple object, such as a cup, vase, apple, tool, etc.

Note: Give yourself about 1.5 hours to complete this project. (Or pause the video and work at your own pace.)

 

PAINTING SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED:

  • Paints – Black, White, and any colour
  • Small Round & Flat Paintbrushes
  • Palette Knife
  • Palette
  • Blotting Paper
  • Rag
  • Water
  • Mixed Media Paper (heavy cardstock)

 

ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED:

  • Pencil, Eraser
  • Lamp
  • Simple Object (cup, vase, tool, apple, etc.)
