One morning the sunrise was so spectacular it took my breath away and I just had to stop my car to gaze at it. It was pale pink bathed in gold with wispy lavender clouds floating above. The treeline stood silhouetted against the sky, creating a lovely lacy effect while violet mountains formed a picture perfect backdrop. I’m not much of a morning person but I’ve heard that successful people rise early, so I’m giving it a try!
This series depicts my journey as an artist – the leap of faith to open a commercial studio, the discipline to follow through with a plan, the lessons I’ve learned while owning a business, the determination to keep going, and the sense of pride I feel when I’ve accomplished something. In all this I am trusting, waiting, contemplating.
