This is Sammy, our beloved Tabbycat. He’s much cuter in “person”! He enjoyed hunting in the forest and sleeping on the couch. He was with us for 12 years and recently died of cancer. We miss him! RIP
The creation of this piece involved cutting a lino block and inking the plate one colour at a time. One must work from the lightest colour to the darkest in order to get the right results. The print is very carefully placed atop the inked block and hand-pressed with each layer of colour. The printing plate was destroyed and therefore this is a one-of-a-kind piece.
