Title: What Do You See

Our outer shell doesn’t necessarily predict who we are inside. Inner beauty is often overlooked. Sometimes a beautiful exterior is all that is seen and no one is interested in knowing the person behind it. Sometimes an unattractive exterior is shunned or bullied and the essence of that person is never fully discovered.
The poem was written in an effort to describe my own experiences of feeling unloved.
